Don’t be afraid to use leather in Arizona. The first objection I always hear from clients about leather use in their home is the fear that the leather will feel “hot” on their skin, or will make them sweat. I always find this humorous because these are the same people that put leather in their cars, and in the summer heat the interior of the automobile can reach nearly 200 degrees. Leather remains at the temperature of the environment it is in, so if your home is 75 degrees, your leather will remain at the temperature. Leather also wears 4 times better than most durable fabrics.

The smallest investment that will make the largest impact in your home is wall color. Avoid painting accent walls. Try to find a base or foundation for your entire home that you love. Don’t leave any wall white if possible. This will create uniformity and continuity. Experiment using darker colors in washrooms and places of intimacy, i.e., master suites, and guestrooms.
